The Nigerian Defence Academy (NDA) has scheduled the screening test for candidates shortlisted into its 77 Regular Course for Friday, June 14, 2025. This announcement was made by the NDA spokesman, Major Mohammad Maidawa, through an official statement released in Kaduna.
According to the statement, the list of shortlisted applicants was compiled based solely on the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) results officially transmitted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to the Academy. Maidawa emphasized that candidates who applied for the 77 Regular Course and are not seeing their names on the shortlist should not immediately assume they were left out due to technical issues such as poor internet connection.
“The Nigerian Defence Academy hereby notifies all applicants to the 77 Regular Course that the shortlisting for the screening test scheduled for June 14 is based strictly on the official UTME results sent by JAMB to the NDA,” Maidawa stated.
He advised all applicants to log in to the Academy’s official portal to confirm their screening status. He added that those who could not find their names on the shortlist should cross-check their current UTME result status directly with JAMB to ensure that their scores were properly submitted and received.
The NDA reiterated its commitment to transparency and merit in the selection process, stating that only candidates who meet the required academic qualifications and standards set by the Academy and JAMB will proceed to the next stage.
The Academy also cautioned candidates against relying on third-party sources or unofficial websites for updates, stressing that all important information and updates will be published on the NDA’s official portal.
