The Dr. John Hassan and Mrs. Florence Hassan Health Care Foundation has partnered with the Oyo State Health Insurance Agency (OYSHIA) to provide essential healthcare services and insurance coverage for individuals facing financial barriers. The initiative was officially launched in Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, with a commitment to ensure that no one is left behind in accessing healthcare.
Mr. Oluwatosin Ifalola, the event coordinator, highlighted the initiative’s mission: “We are gathered here for a special purpose to launch an initiative purposely to serve our community and ensure that no one is left behind when it comes to health care. This project seeks to bridge that gap and give individuals and families the opportunity to receive proper medical attention without the worry of financial burden.”
The founder of the foundation, Dr. John Hassan, expressed his dedication to making healthcare accessible for everyone, particularly those who cannot afford it. He stated, “Health is a fundamental need. While I would have preferred to undertake this mission quietly, the scope of this challenge demands a platform where all of us can work together to bring hope and healing to those in need.”
Dr. Shola Akande, Executive Secretary of OYSHIA, represented at the event by Mr. Stephen Dauda, Director of Marketing and Quality Assurance, praised the foundation’s innovative approach. He described it as a remarkable model for expanding health insurance coverage in Oyo State, which can help more individuals access necessary medical services.
The event concluded with a powerful message from Dr. Hassan, who envisioned a future where healthcare knows no bounds and compassion is integrated into every aspect of society.
