Nigeria PachiPanda Challenge 2025 for Youth and SMEs – Applications Open (Up to ₦6 Million in Grant Prizes)
Share

Nigeria faces urgent environmental issues, from waste management to biodiversity loss. The Nigeria PachiPanda Challenge 2025 is calling on young innovators and youth-led SMEs to design long-term, sustainable solutions to these problems. This initiative, powered by MTN Nigeria in partnership with WWF (through NCF) and UNDP Nigeria, gives participants a chance to win funding, receive recognition, and represent Nigeria on a continental stage.

Prizes for Winners

  • First Prize: ₦3,000,000
  • Second Prize: ₦2,000,000
  • Third Prize: ₦1,500,000
Top winners will also represent Nigeria at the Africa PachiPanda Finale in South Africa, competing with other country champions.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility)

  • Open to young individuals or teams of up to three persons
  • Youth-led small and medium enterprises (SMEs) are encouraged to apply
  • Applicants must be focused on providing innovative solutions to pressing environmental challenges in Nigeria

Program Duration & Timeline

  • Call for entries is open now
  • Selected winners will move on to the Africa Finale in South Africa (2025)
  • Specific program milestones will be shared directly with shortlisted applicants

Guidance for Applicants

  • Be problem-specific: Identify a real environmental challenge in your community and propose a measurable solution.
  • Show sustainability impact: Highlight how your idea will make long-term change, not just short-term fixes.
  • Think scalability: Judges want solutions that can be expanded beyond one community.
  • Team wisely: If applying as a team, ensure complementary skills (e.g., tech, business, sustainability).
  • Prepare visuals: A clear prototype, sketches, or process flow can make your idea easier to understand.
  • Check originality: Avoid re-submitting generic ideas or copying existing solutions without improvement.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the official Nigeria PachiPanda Challenge form: Apply Here
  2. Select your entry submission mode: individual or team (max 3 people)
  3. Provide your participant information and complete the form
  4. Submit your application before the closing date (to be announced by MTN)
