NYIF Application Portal Remains Open: How to Apply For The Nigeria Youth Investment Fund

The Nigeria Youth Investment Fund (NYIF) has announced that its application portal is still open and accepting submissions, offering Nigerian youths the opportunity to secure funding for their innovative business ideas. This initiative, created by the Federal Ministry of Youth Development (FMYD) and backed by the Federal Government, aims to empower young entrepreneurs and create sustainable businesses that will drive economic growth and job creation across Nigeria.

With an initial seed capital of N110 billion, the fund is a crucial part of the government’s strategy to reduce youth unemployment and support the growth of youth-owned enterprises. The NYIF targets individuals aged 18 to 40, providing them with the resources to develop viable projects and businesses in sectors such as agriculture, ICT, light manufacturing, and creative industries.

 How to Apply for NYIF
Eligible Nigerian youths can apply by visiting the official NYIF portal and following these steps:
1. Register: Create an account on the portal.
2. Complete the Application Form: Provide personal and business details.
3. Upload Required Documents: Attach a National Identification Number (NIN), business registration certificate, and a business plan.
4. Submit Application: Review and submit your application online.

 Eligibility Criteria:
– Nigerian citizen aged 18-40 years
– A viable business or idea aligned with NYIF objectives
– Must possess a National Identification Number (NIN)
– Willingness to contribute to Nigeria’s economic development
– Provide a detailed and realistic business plan

 Key Sectors of Focus:
NYIF places emphasis on sectors with high job creation potential, including:
– Agriculture (cotton, rice, crop production)
– Creative industries (film, fashion, beauty)
– ICT and digital development
– Light manufacturing and renewable energy clusters
– Agro-processing, fisheries, and livestock farming
