The Chairman of Ojudu Local Council Development Area (LCDA) in Lagos State, David Odunmbaku, has empowered residents with business tools and financial support as part of activities marking the first 100 days of his second term in office.
According to a statement released on Sunday, beneficiaries received grinding machines, industrial freezers, industrial ovens, carpentry and plumbing tools, water pumps, poultry feeds, sheep and bird cages, solar systems for small businesses, and fuel for commercial tricycle operators and buses worth N5 million.
In addition, 50 market men and women were given N100,000 each, while 20 persons living with disabilities received N50,000 each.
Odunmbaku said the donations were in line with his campaign promises to eradicate poverty and support small business owners in the council. Speaking at the presentation ceremony held at the council secretariat, he assured residents that his administration would continue to prioritize their welfare and fulfil campaign commitments.
“In these 100 days, we have planted a seed of progress. Our vision for Ojudu is clear: a cleaner, safer, more prosperous, digitally and smartly developed LCDA. A community where every citizen, young or old, feels the pulse of good governance. Let us continue to walk together, hand in hand, shoulder to shoulder toward the Ojudu of our dreams,” he said.
The chairman also announced plans to build a police station at Oke-Ira to enhance security and expand digital training programs for youths. He thanked Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu for supporting his administration through the approval of various development projects.
