Pastor (Mrs) Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, has unveiled the Ladies in Tech Africa Program to bridge the gender gap in Africa’s tech industry, This initiative aims to provide free, three-month tech training for 76,000 women across Africa.
The program, which is a collaboration between Africa Missions Global and The Incubator Hub, officially started on August 19. It offers a comprehensive curriculum designed to equip participants with high-demand tech skills. The training is accessible online, ensuring that women from all backgrounds can participate.
Pastor Adeboye emphasized that the Ladies in Tech Africa Programme is committed to removing the financial barriers that often hinder women from entering the tech industry. “The program seeks to create a strong pipeline of skilled female tech talents, accelerating Africa’s digital transformation and sustainable development,” she stated.
Aligned with Africa Missions Global’s Horizon 2033 initiative, which aims to empower 100 million Africans with digital and creative economy skills, the program also focuses on mentoring and supporting female tech entrepreneurs. “By fostering innovation and economic growth, we are building a more inclusive tech ecosystem where women have equal opportunities to succeed,” Adeboye added.
