Pishon Health Launches Innovation Incubator Program to Empower African HealthTech Innovators
Share

Pishon Health, a leading African healthcare innovation incubator, has announced the launch of its Social Innovation Incubator program. This 12-week initiative aims to empower innovators in developing technology-driven solutions to address the continent’s most pressing healthcare challenges. With the African health tech market projected to surpass $11 billion by 2025, the program aims to capitalize on the significant potential for innovation and growth in the region.

Founder of Pishon Health, Mopelola Lauretta Ajegbile, emphasized the importance of bridging the gap between healthcare challenges and innovative solutions tailored to address them. The incubator program will provide selected innovators with access to mentorship, capital, and advisory services worth up to $100,000, enabling them to navigate the complexities of developing and scaling locally relevant solutions.

The Social Innovation Incubator offers a unique program tailored to the African context, addressing healthcare challenges specific to the continent and ensuring real-world impact. Participants will receive guidance from experienced professionals in healthcare and social entrepreneurship, focusing on practical skills development such as business model refinement, pitching techniques, and partnership strategies. Additionally, the program fosters a lasting community by connecting participants with a network of alumni for ongoing collaboration and growth.

The incubator program seeks innovators working in various health tech areas, including communicable diseases, healthcare workforce shortages, non-communicable diseases (NCDs), climate change and health impacts, mental health, medical product development, maternal and child health, and health data management.

Co-founder of Pishon Health, Ifeoluwa Ojo, expressed confidence in African-led innovations as key to unlocking a healthier future for the continent. Interested health tech entrepreneurs are invited to join the incubator and become part of this transformative movement.

The inaugural cohort of Pishon Health’s incubator program is set to commence in July, welcoming African early-stage innovators. Throughout the three-month program, participants will benefit from personalized guidance from seasoned experts and experienced entrepreneurs, with the potential to secure investments of up to $10,000 to advance their innovations.
