Tinubu’s Aide Donates Over 200 Generators To Small Businesses In Northeast
Share

The Senior Special Assistant to the President on Community Engagement for the Northeast, Abdulhamid Yahaya Abba, has empowered over 200 entrepreneurs in the region by donating Tiger generators. The initiative primarily supports local barbers struggling with unreliable electricity to run their businesses.

The donation, revealed in a statement by the Director of Media and Information, Umar Khaleepha, is part of the government’s broader effort to support small businesses in the region.

“Small businesses are the backbone of our local economies,” Abba stated. “We are committed to providing the necessary tools for entrepreneurs to overcome challenges like power shortages. This is a step toward ensuring local businesses can serve their communities more effectively.”

Khaleepha, who represented the presidential aide at the distribution event, emphasized the role of entrepreneurship in boosting the Northeast’s economic development. He highlighted that this initiative is part of a larger mission to assist local business owners, particularly those with limited resources.

In addition to this recent support for barbers, Abba has previously empowered 500 women and youths in Gombe State as part of ongoing efforts to alleviate hardship and promote economic resilience across the region.
