QNET's Financial Literacy Program Empowers Over 1,350 Nigerian Youth
Share

QNET, a global direct-selling company focused on lifestyle and wellness, has successfully trained over 1,350 Nigerian youths through its FinGreen financial literacy program. This initiative equips participants with essential skills for financial independence and is part of QNET’s broader efforts to combat fake job offers and illegal migration in Africa.

Partnership with the Federal Ministry of Labour and Employment (FMLE)

QNET has joined the FMLE’s Employability Training Programme, aiming to empower Nigerian youth and increase their employability. This initiative is also part of QNET’s ongoing “Say No!” awareness campaign against fake job offers.

Biram Fall’s Address

At a recent training event in Abuja, Biram Fall addressed participants on how to recognize and avoid fraudulent job offers. He highlighted the high unemployment rate in Nigeria and stressed the importance of education in combating job scams and improving youth employability.

“We are proud to partner with FMLE in this critical initiative. Investing in robust training and continuous education programs is essential for creating a resilient and competent workforce,” said Fall. He also outlined the steps QNET is taking to educate the public and prevent the misuse of its name in job scams.

 FMLE’s Commitment

Miss Augustina Uka, Senior Labour Officer at FMLE, reaffirmed the Ministry’s commitment to youth empowerment through initiatives like the National Electronic Labor Exchange (NELEX) project. This platform aims to transform employment exchanges into a robust database of employable manpower, facilitating job exchange and labor mobility.

 Participant Experiences

Participants, such as Akam Comfort Dufang, shared their positive experiences from the training. Comfort noted that the program taught valuable skills in employability, entrepreneurship, and management, and helped change her perception of QNET. Another participant recounted how the program saved him from a job scam.

 QNET’s Broader Impact

QNET’s commitment extends beyond financial literacy. Over the past two years, the FinGreen program has equipped over 1,350 Nigerian youths with essential financial skills. QNET has also collaborated with agencies like the Lagos State Consumer Protection Agency (LASCOPA) to raise awareness about fake job offers and human trafficking.

Operating through its franchise partner Transblue Limited in Nigeria, QNET continues to support training programs to enhance youth employability and foster a safe and informed job market.

QNET’s initiatives, in collaboration with FMLE, highlight the company’s dedication to combating fraud and supporting the economic development of Nigerian youth through education and empowerment.
