Rose of Sharon Foundation Empowers SMEs with Business Coaching and Grant at The Business Clinic
Share

The Rose of Sharon Foundation (RoSF), in collaboration with Bosworth Marketing Consulting, recently concluded a two-day business clinic aimed at equipping entrepreneurs with the skills and knowledge to build resilient and successful businesses. The event, themed “Carving the Path to Business Success and Resilience”, was held at the foundation’s head office in Lagos.

Four-in-One Business Support Initiative

The business clinic featured:

  1. Masterclasses: Industry experts shared insights on achieving business resilience.
  2. Business Coaching: Participants received practical guidance tailored to their unique challenges.
  3. One-on-One Mentorship: Entrepreneurs had the opportunity to engage directly with experienced mentors.
  4. Business Grant: One entrepreneur was awarded a grant to support their venture.

Addressing Economic Realities

Dr. Ndudi Bowei, Country Manager of RoSF, emphasized the importance of such initiatives in light of Nigeria’s challenging economic conditions.

“Many SMEs are shutting down daily, which is not good for the economy. SMEs are the foundation of larger corporations, but they must survive their early years to grow. This clinic brings business owners together to address their challenges, offer coaching, and share strategies for resilience and success,” she stated.

Expanding Impact

Since its inception, the program has reached over 100 businesses, with 65 entrepreneurs participating in this year’s cohort, up from 40 in the inaugural program last year.

“The positive feedback from the pilot programme has given us the confidence to continue,” Dr. Bowei noted.

By empowering SMEs with the tools to navigate Nigeria’s economic landscape, RoSF continues to support the growth and sustainability of small businesses, contributing to the nation’s broader economic development.
