The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency of Nigeria (SMEDAN) has said it is working with other relevant agencies for the effective implementation of the National Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Policy 2021-2025.

The Director General of SMEDAN, Mr Olawale Fasanya, stated this at an inter-agency working group dialogue on the implementation of the MSME Policy which was sponsored by the German Agency for International Corporation (GIZ).

Recall that the MDA Focal Persons Group for the implementation of the policy was established by Amb Mariam Katagum, Minister of State for Industry, Trade, and Investment, on June 7, 2022.

Mr. Onesi-Lawani Daberuje, speaking on behalf of Fasanya, said that effective cooperation was essential to securing the inclusive development of the MSME subsector.

He said, “Another objective of the policy is to effectively deliver on employment and wealth creation and accelerate economic growth.”

The SMEDAN boss further said that the MSME Policy showcased a strong implementation framework with critical ongoing inputs from public-private dialogue.
