TECO Unveils Dual-Purpose Palm Oil Processing Machine to Boost Small-Scale Farming
Share

TECO Group has announced the launch of its latest innovation—the dual-purpose screw press and digester for palm oil processing—set to debut at the Agrofood & Plastprintpack Nigeria exhibition.

The new machine is designed to enhance efficiency for small-scale palm fruit processors by combining fruit digestion and oil extraction into a single unit. This innovation aims to maximize oil yield, reduce waste, and streamline processing, particularly during peak harvesting seasons.

“This new machine is a big step forward for palm oil processing,” said Funmi Babatunde-Dada, TECO Group’s executive director. “For 45 years, we have built semi-automated and fully automated palm oil processing plants across Nigeria, and we are happy to introduce this innovation for small-scale farmers. It helps processors work more efficiently, cut down losses, and grow their businesses. We’re proud to support Nigeria’s agribusiness sector with solutions like this.”

With the capacity to process up to 500 kilograms of palm fruit per hour, the machine is engineered to minimize common issues like clogging. Its compact motor helps soften palm fruits and extract oil more effectively. By integrating multiple processing steps into one unit, it allows small-scale farmers to save on space, labor, and operational costs—boosting productivity and profitability.

Founded in 1980, TECO Group has established itself as a leader in customized engineering solutions, delivering high-quality industrial equipment across Nigeria and Africa. The company remains committed to fostering economic growth through innovative, locally made machinery.

Attendees at the Agrofood & Plastprintpack Nigeria exhibition will have the opportunity to see a live video demonstration of the new machine and interact with TECO’s engineering team. The showcase underscores TECO’s dedication to advancing Nigeria’s agricultural sector with practical, high-performance technology tailored to local needs.
