United Bank for Africa (UBA) continues its commitment to bolster Micro, Small, and Medium-Scale Enterprises (MSMEs) by hosting another edition of the UBA Business Series. This seminar series provides vital insights and tools to fortify and sustain businesses, particularly in challenging economic environments.

  1. The UBA Business Series, a regular capacity-building initiative, brings together industry leaders and experts to share well-researched insights on pertinent topics for successful business operations. This edition, powered by UBA Value Chain Banking, focuses on ‘Personal Finance: Wealth Management in Today’s omy’ and is tailored for key distributors and small to medium-sized business owners
  2. Scheduled for Thursday, October 12, 2023, from 12 pm at the Tony Elumelu Amphitheatre, UBA House, Marina, Lagos, the event will also be accessible online via Zoom at https://bit.ly/UBABIZSERIES.

Eminent figures like Boason Omofaye, CEO and Executive Editor of Frontier Africa Reports; Odiri Oginni CFA, Managing Director/CEO of United Capital Asset Management Plc; and Akitoye ‘Ajebutter22’ Balogun, Recording Artist and CEO/Founder of Mova Networks, will be present to offer valuable tips on wealth management in today’s economic landscape and guide businesses towards thriving despite economic challenges.

Babatunde Ajayi, Head of SME Banking at UBA, emphasized the significance of personal finance and wealth management, particularly in navigating a tough economic climate for business growth. He highlighted UBA’s dedication to empowering small businesses, recognizing their pivotal role in economic development.

Recently, UBA launched an initiative to provide robust financing solutions supporting SMEs across Africa. This initiative, in partnership with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) secretariat, aims to offer up to $6 billion in financing over the next three years to eligible SMEs across the continent. This collaboration was formalized during the 30th Afreximbank Annual Meeting in Accra, Ghana.

With a presence in over 20 African countries and international hubs including New York, London, Paris, Cayman Island, and now the UAE, UBA is dedicated to connecting people and businesses across Africa through retail, commercial, and corporate banking, innovative cross-border payments, trade finance, and ancillary banking services.
