UBA Kenya, a branch of the United Bank for Africa, recently collaborated with the Nigerian High Commission in Kenya for the inaugural Nigeria in Kenya Business Roundtable. This event provides a platform for businesses in both nations to explore new opportunities.

Kenya and Nigeria are key players in their respective economies, offering a wealth of prospects for trade and investment. During the event, Mr. Chike Isiuwe, MD/CEO of UBA Bank Kenya, emphasized the importance of adherence to business laws. UBA is committed to compliance and supporting the Nigerian Community in Kenya with tailored business solutions.

UBA Kenya is dedicated to empowering businesses in Kenya and beyond. The bank actively seeks to support businesses across the region and in the 20 African countries, as well as in the United States, United Kingdom, Paris, and UAE, where UBA has a strong presence.

UBA has partnered with AfCFTA to boost SMEs in sectors like Agro-processing, Automotive, Pharmaceuticals, and Transport and Logistics. This initiative aims to enhance access to finance and markets for SMEs, contributing to Africa’s socio-economic development.

Mr. Isiuwe expressed optimism about business opportunities in Kenya and highlighted the role of technology and bilateral trade. He encouraged entrepreneurs from both countries to seize these opportunities, with UBA ready to support them within the framework of country-specific laws.

UBA Kenya is committed to making a positive impact by providing financial access, advisory services, and market connections. The bank actively participates in initiatives like the Tony Elumelu Foundation, which supports small entrepreneurs. In Kenya, approximately 692 entrepreneurs have benefited from this program.

UBA Kenya looks forward to strengthening business growth opportunities in collaboration with trade and investment stakeholders in Kenya while actively contributing to economic development across Africa and beyond.
