Unity Bank Plc recently hosted a capacity-building workshop aimed at enhancing the digital marketing skills of women entrepreneurs. The event, themed “Empowering Women Entrepreneurs: AI and Digital Marketing Strategies,” gathered participants from various sectors, equipping them with the essential skills needed to thrive in today’s competitive digital economy.

Held on Wednesday, the workshop featured notable speakers including Opeyemi Ojesina, CEO of Jesshill Consulting; Nkechinyere Ojiego, General Manager of Simba Group; and Adenike Abimbola, Divisional Head of Retail and SME Banking at Unity Bank. The speakers provided insights into leveraging digital platforms to expand market reach, streamline business operations, and improve customer engagement.

Adenike Abimbola underscored the significance of empowering women in business, revealing that over 70 percent of women entrepreneurs in Nigeria actively seek capacity-building initiatives. “It is essential for us to equip women with the necessary tools and knowledge to succeed in an increasingly digital world,” Abimbola stated. She reaffirmed Unity Bank’s commitment to supporting female-led ventures and fostering collaboration among women in business.

Participants expressed their excitement about integrating digital technology into their businesses. Yetunde Adeniran, one attendee, noted, “This workshop has opened my eyes to the potential of digital marketing. I am eager to apply what I have learned to grow my business.” She also praised Unity Bank’s Yanga Account, designed to provide tailored financial solutions for small business owners.

The bank announced its dedication to continuously empowering women entrepreneurs by offering valuable resources, innovative financial tools, and educational opportunities that promote growth in a competitive marketplace. Unity Bank’s commitment extends beyond workshops, as it actively seeks to create an enabling environment for women to thrive.

In addition to the workshop, Unity Bank highlighted its ongoing loyalty promotion, where over 40 customers have received more than N4 million in cash rewards. This initiative underscores the bank’s focus on customer satisfaction and its desire to reward loyal clients.

As the digital landscape continues to evolve, Unity Bank remains steadfast in its mission to empower women entrepreneurs, recognizing their critical role in driving economic growth and development across Nigeria and beyond. Through strategic initiatives like this workshop, Unity Bank is paving the way for a more inclusive and prosperous business environment for women in Africa.
