Vesti, a leading provider of legal and financial services for immigrants, has announced ambitious plans to create 1,500 software engineering jobs by 2027. The announcement was made by the company’s Chief Executive Officer, Olusola Amusan, at the grand opening of Vesti’s new state-of-the-art software engineering office in Lagos.
Amusan highlighted the company’s mission to simplify immigration processes and become a premier software engineering hub. He emphasized Vesti’s commitment to nurturing talent through internal training programs and employee satisfaction initiatives, ensuring the development of world-class engineers. “At Vesti, bold and audacious goals have driven us toward simplifying immigration processes and building a place of choice for top software engineering talent,” he stated.
Vesti’s Chief Operating Officer, Abimbola Amusan, further elaborated on the company’s mission to empower Africans to access global markets through innovative products and services. He shared stories of how Vesti has supported African entrepreneurs and students. One example was a Nigerian entrepreneur who successfully expanded his business into the U.S. with Vesti’s assistance, while another was a student who secured funding for overseas education through Vesti’s financial services. These stories highlight Vesti’s impact on helping Africans navigate international markets.
Looking ahead, Vesti plans to expand its offerings to new regions, including Africa, Asia, and North America, while developing new products tailored to the needs of immigrants and global markets. Early investor Adebayo Adeleke praised the company’s rapid growth, noting its cash-positive performance in the first half of 2024 and strategic partnerships that have driven its expansion across the African continent. Adeleke also hinted at future funding rounds and a potential Initial Public Offering (IPO) as Vesti continues to scale its operations.
A major highlight of the event was the ribbon-cutting ceremony, led by Dr. Olakunle Soriyan, a futurist and social impact investor. The new office, known as the Centre of Excellence in Software Engineering and Financial Technology, will serve as the hub for Vesti’s continued growth and innovation in the tech and financial sectors.
With these new investments, Vesti is positioning itself as a key player in the tech ecosystem, not only creating jobs but also contributing to Africa’s growing digital economy by enabling access to global opportunities for African talent.
