Wema Bank Launches AlatPay to Digitize Operations for SMEs

 Wema Bank has unveiled AlatPay, a digital payment solution tailored for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) to facilitate the digitization of their operations. AlatPay is set to empower SMEs by enhancing their ability to conduct multiple financial activities and acquire transactions efficiently.

 

  Tunde Mabawonku, Executive Director of Retail and Digital Business at Wema Bank, highlighted the shift from cash to cashless transactions, noting that the future of payments is becoming increasingly cardless. AlatPay enables transactions to be executed in seconds with just a few taps on a smartphone.

 

   AlatPay positions Nigerian merchants and SMEs to easily acquire transactions globally, providing a seamless payment gateway that simplifies financial activities without exposing sensitive financial details.

 

Beyond the digital payments platform, Wema Bank offers additional packages including an SME toolkit, loan facilities, training, and exposure to help their customers grow and succeed.

 

Damola Bolodeoku, Head of Payment at Wema Bank, emphasized the seamless integration process of AlatPay, allowing merchants to access their storefronts and process transactions in any currency effortlessly. The platform offers diverse payment options, efficient settlements, and strong security measures.
