The Group Chief Executive Officer of X3M Ideas, Steve Babaeko, has highlighted the importance of empowering young people with technological skills, noting that such initiatives will help shape the future of the next generation. Speaking at the launch of phase two of the X3M Tech training program at Muritala Ajadi Animashaun Community Senior Grammar School in Surulere, Lagos, Babaeko emphasized that the program is designed to equip students with essential tools, knowledge, and cutting-edge technological skills necessary to thrive in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
Babaeko remarked, “At X3M Ideas, we have always believed in the potential of the youth and the critical role they play in driving the future. For the past 12 years, we have been privileged to partner with the Lagos State Government in its pursuit of quality education. Through this partnership, we have renovated schools and handed them over, ensuring that students across the state have access to conducive learning environments.”
He added that the company’s commitment to youth empowerment has now extended to Surulere, stating, “We believe every community has hidden potential, and we see it in the bright minds of the students here.”
Babaeko also praised the Lagos State Government’s commitment to education under Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu’s leadership. “We must also take a moment to appreciate His Excellency, Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu, for his visionary leadership and future-forward education policy. Under his administration, the Lagos State Government has continued to prioritize initiatives that equip our youth with the skills they need to thrive in a rapidly changing world. We are honored to align with this vision, and today’s program is a small but significant step towards realizing that shared goal,” he said.
The Commissioner of Education for Lagos State, Jamiu Ali-Balogun, representing Governor Sanwo-Olu at the event, commended Babaeko and his team for their forward-thinking initiative. He urged other corporate entities to engage in similar CSR activities that can bring positive changes to society, stressing that the government needs support from individuals and organizations to achieve significant development.
Michael Ladejebi, the Principal of Muritala Ajadi Animashaun Community Senior Grammar School, also expressed his gratitude for the partnership, stating, “The skills they acquire through this program will not only enhance their education but also prepare them for future opportunities in a rapidly changing world.”
Babaeko concluded by encouraging students to use the skills they have acquired not only for their personal growth but also for the benefit of their communities.
