The Youth Economic Intervention and De-Radicalisation Programme (YEIDEP) has postponed the disbursement of business grants to Batch A applicants, which was initially scheduled to begin on October 20, 2025.
In a statement, the programme’s Coordinator-General, Comrade Kennedy Iyere, explained that the delay was due to the need to ensure a transparent, accountable, and accurate disbursement process.
He cautioned applicants against misinformation circulating on social media, noting that some fraudsters were spreading false claims that disbursement had begun to deceive and extort money from unsuspecting individuals.
YEIDEP reiterated that all benefits and opportunities under the programme are completely free and urged applicants to disregard anyone demanding payment or personal information.
According to Iyere, a new date for the disbursement will be announced through official media channels once the process is finalised.
Meanwhile, the registration portal will reopen on October 27, 2025, for Batch B recruitment. The programme reaffirmed its commitment to ensuring that all registered members receive their entitled benefits and promised to communicate further updates through its official YouTube, Facebook, and other verified platforms.
