Zenith Tech Fair Unveils "Future Forward 3.0" To Showcase Latest Tech Innovations

The highly anticipated Zenith Tech Fair, titled “Future Forward 3.0,” is scheduled for November 22nd and 23rd, 2023, at the prestigious Eko Convention Centre, Eko Hotels & Suites, Victoria Island00, Lagos, running from 8:00 a.m. to 6: p.m. daily.

This two-day tech fair will serve as a platform showcasing cutting-edge technology innovations spanning Artificial Intelligence, Contactless Payments, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, FinTech, Data Analytics, Financial Intelligence, and communication technologies. It will feature diverse activities such as pitch sessions for innovative startups, panel discussions, masterclasses, and exhibitions.

The event will commence with a welcome address by Jim Ovia, CFR, Founder and Chairman of Zenith Bank, and opening remarks by Dr. Ebenezer Onyeagwu, Group Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc, and Dame (Dr.) Adaora Umeoji, OON, Deputy Managing Director of Zenith Bank Plc. Additionally, there will be a goodwill message from the Honourable Minister of Communication, Innovation & Digital Economy, Dr. Bosun Tijani, and a presentation by Dr. Doris Anite, Hon. Minister of Industry, Trade & Investment, among other notable speakers.

The keynote address titled “Artificial Intelligence – Application & Bias” will be delivered by Chris Lu, a distinguished IT Specialist, business strategist, and Managing Director for Huawei Technologies, Nigeria. Joining Lu are several other prominent IT practitioners representing top global brands:

  •  Demola Sanusi, Solutions Architect, Amazon Web Services
  •  Temitope Aladenusi, Partner & Leader Cybersecurity, Deloitte
  • Andrew Uaboi, Vice President/Cluster Head, Visa West Africa
  • Dr. Blaise Ijebor, Director of Risk Management, CBN
  • Keelan Singh, Head, UiPath EMEA Banking and Financial Services
  • Shweta Juneja, Partner, McKinsey Digital
  • Wole Odeleye, Financial Services Technology Lead, Microsoft
  • Ope Ajayi, Founder & CEO, Cinemax
  • Elo Umeh, Managing Director, Terragon

The fair will feature two panel discussions exploring digital payments technology’s growth prospects within the financial landscape. One panel will focus on “The next frontier: Digital Wallets, Contactless payments, and BNPL (Buy Now Pay Later)”, while the other will delve into “The intersection of Fintech, eCommerce, and SMEs – Collaboration for growth.”

The fair, previously held in 2019 and 2022, featured hackathons resulting in the discovery of innovative startups, with winners receiving substantial prizes. This year’s edition promises to uphold this tradition of fostering innovation and will be available live on Zoom and streamed on Zenith Bank’s social media platforms, including YouTube.
