The AWP Network in alignment with its mandate will provide vendor training for women business owners in rural areas through the AWP Network Vendor Training Programme.

The training program, which started on Saturday, July 9, would assist Nigeria’s Ekiti State’s female entrepreneurs in becoming qualified vendors.

Shoprite Nigeria and other AWP Network retail partners will be given the chance to hear from these women and learn more about their products. Women vendors who enroll in the six-week business-intensive program have the chance to propose and supply major stores.

The AWP Network, a maiden program for women manufacturers and entrepreneurs in Nigeria, enables women manufacturers and entrepreneurs to participate in and be included in the corporate supply chain by assisting them in becoming qualified vendors.

Over 12,000 vendor applications were submitted for the competitive AWP Network Vendor program, which was introduced in 2020 and has assisted in getting women-owned made-in-Nigeria brands on the shelves of major retailers.

Among the vendors who are benefiting from the training in Ekiti are: Shallom Isreal International Tours Limited, Ekiti Southwest, Alpha B Multidynamic Global company, Ado-Ekiti; Roots and Herbs Limited, Moba; Michoris Nigeria Limited, Ido-Osi; Wheekanza Global, Ekiti East; Quickiss Global Investment Limited, Ado-Ekiti; Busmop Multidynamic Global Company, Oye; Ekundayo Foods Nigeria Limited, Irepodun/Ifelodun; Joella Signature, Ikere and Igbemo Rice Processing Company Nigeria Limited, Irepodun/Ifelodun.
