Google yesterday launched applications for the Google for Startups Accelerator: Women Founders Africa Program. The program aims to empower and support African Women Founders by providing resources and opportunities for them to scale their startups and address African problems.

Call for Applications

Google for Startups Accelerator: Women Founders is designed to bring the best of Google’s expertise, products, people and technology to women-led tech startups up to Series A stage, based in Africa or building Africa-centered solutions with technology.

The program includes content and mentorship tailored to the unique needs of women founders and opportunities to network with Google’s global women founders community.

Program Information

A three-month virtual accelerator program for high-potential Seed to Series A tech startups based in Africa.

Eligibility Criteria

✓ Women founders who are building tech startups in Africa or for Africa can apply.

✓ Eligible applicants must have a working product or service, a viable business model, and a working team.

✓ The application process includes a written application and an interview with the program team.

Who can apply? 

Google for Startups Accelerator Africa accepts applications from startups in Algeria, Botswana, Cameroon, Côte D’ivoire, Egypt, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Morocco, Nigeria, Rwanda, Senegal, South Africa, Tanzania, Tunisia, Uganda, and Zimbabwe.
