Grooming Endowment Trust (GET) celebrates 13 dynamic entrepreneurs with the prestigious GET Compass award grants, recognizing their pivotal contributions to community well-being and economic growth. The initiative, part of Grooming Centre’s commitment to Micro, Small, and Medium-sized Enterprises, aims to fuel ventures vital for local prosperity.
In a recent awards ceremony held at the Centre in Research in Enterprise and Action in Management (CREM) office in Lagos, 13 exceptional entrepreneurs emerged victorious from a competitive pool of applicants.
Godwin Nwabunka, CEO of Grooming Centre, emphasized the transformative influence of GET Compass on its alumni, urging participants to adopt a winning mindset. He emphasized that true success transcends financial gains, underscoring the journey from modest beginnings to a nationwide presence.
Nwabunka shared, “Grooming Endowment Trust started small, but today we have a dedicated team spread across the nation. Our journey began humbly but with a clear mission.”
He continued, “Amongst a sea of applications, we’re excited to welcome these entrepreneurs into the GET family. We look forward to sharing their progress with the world.”
During the ceremony, five standout businesses – Tipping Recycle, Replast Engineering, Smoothies Bargains and Shakes, Craft Planet, and Makizi Blossoms and Enterprises – received N2 million each. This substantial funding is poised to catalyze their ventures. Additionally, all other participants were granted N250,000 each, providing essential support for their entrepreneurial journeys.
Established in August 2020, the Trust channels resources into a diverse range of Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainable Development Goals initiatives. Its focus areas encompass education, capacity building, healthcare, enterprise and community development, venture formation, and humanitarian relief. The Grooming Endowment Trust stands as a beacon of empowerment and impact, driving positive change in communities across Nigeria.
