The Katsina State Community and Social Development Agency (CSDA) is set to disburse ₦300 million in grants to support 6,000 small-scale business operators through the NG-CARES program. Beneficiaries, hailing from 20 chosen local government areas, will each receive approximately ₦50,000.
Hajiya Jummai Garba, the agency’s Acting General Manager, specified that the recipients will mainly be women and youths managing small-scale enterprises.
Operational teams have been deployed to validate the chosen beneficiaries in their respective areas before the disbursement.
To ensure maximum impact, beneficiaries will undergo training on effective management of their small-scale ventures with the grant. This initiative aims to empower them, foster self-reliance, and contribute to economic growth in the region.
The selection process relied on the Katsina State Social Register provided by the State Operation and Coordinating Unit of the agency
