In an exciting development, 315 outstanding participants have been awarded a substantial equipment grant worth N90 million through the Anambra Digital Tribe program. Dr. Nelson Omenugha, Special Adviser to Governor Prof. Chukwuma Soludo, lauded the program for its integration of technology training and services across the state.
The Anambra Digital Tribe, a brainchild of Governor Soludo, has been a driving force behind the surge in tech-enabled skills for young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35. This initiative, in collaboration with MTN, aims to bolster small businesses, ensuring they remain competitive in today’s rapidly evolving market.
The recently concluded MTN ICT and Business Skill Training Program Phase 6, which ran from September 1 to October 12, 2023, witnessed over 3500 participants from 25 states, including Anambra, Yobe, Niger, Kebbi, Ekiti, and many more.
Throughout the program, participants were provided with data support to ensure a seamless learning experience. Notably, the top 315 performers have been selected to receive an Equipment Grant valued at N90 million, a significant boost for their businesses.
In celebration of this achievement, Omenugha extended his congratulations to all participants and particularly to the 15 winners of the equipment grants. He urged the youth to seize opportunities presented by government programs and collaborative initiatives to enhance their personal development.
Acknowledging the pivotal role played by Governor Prof. Charles Chukwuma Soludo in launching the Anambra Digital Tribe program, Omenugha expressed gratitude towards MTN for their unwavering support in upskilling the youth, aligning with the Anambra State Government’s mission for youth development.
