A non-governmental organization, Ophel Consult and Enterprise, hosted the “Strategic Shift Conference” in Enugu, aimed at equipping young Nigerians with essential skills in technology, agriculture, and entrepreneurship. The event focused on nurturing self-reliance and combating unemployment among youth.
Obinna Enoch, Managing Director of the NGO, emphasized the conference’s goal to connect budding entrepreneurs with industry leaders, helping them cultivate their skills, dreams, and aspirations. The event concentrated on technology, entrepreneurship, finance, and agriculture, offering practical knowledge and tools to thrive in these areas.
Enoch highlighted the organization’s mentorship academy, providing tailored guidance to young individuals over three months. This platform aims to furnish practical insights for participants to transition from their current status to where they aspire to be. Attendees hailed from various states across Nigeria.
Chukwuma Okenwa, Executive Director of Lead Network Africa, stressed the importance of African leaders investing in human capital development, particularly among the youth, to secure a prosperous continent. He emphasized that Africa possesses abundant human and natural resources but needs more significant investments in its people to realize its potential on a global scale.
Participants praised the program, recognizing its potential to multiply their income and open doors to new opportunities. The “Strategic Shift Conference” stands as a pivotal initiative in equipping Nigerian youth with the skills and knowledge to thrive in a rapidly evolving economic landscape.
