The Sustainable Enterprise Challenge Programme (TSECP), sponsored by the British Council and Prince’s Trust International (PTI) and implemented by Nerdzfactory, has announced eight winners. The initiative aimed to equip companies with the skills necessary for success in the modern business landscape, producing 16 finalists who competed for the prize. Each winner received N250,000 after undergoing rigorous training over four weeks, with 56 participants initially involved.
The winners, including Blue Sands Stem Labs, Mee Best Foods, Hems to Fit, Ecodey Management Resources, Eco Feet, PlastiBuild, Suss Flow, Cartle Technology, and BuyScrap Nigeria, were recognized for their innovative, societally friendly, profitable, and environmentally friendly business ideas.
During the grand finale event in Lagos, British Council representatives emphasized the importance of supporting Nigeria’s young population in overcoming economic challenges and fostering entrepreneurship. They highlighted the initiative’s role in providing skills and opportunities for youth empowerment and economic growth. Nerdzfactory Company, as the implementing partner, expressed enthusiasm for the competition’s impact on youth entrepreneurship, job creation, and skill development. During the four-week program, participants were equipped with digital marketing and technological skills to enhance their businesses.
