Share

The Conference of Youth on Environment and Climate (COYEC) 2024 is a 3-day hybrid event aimed at bringing together climate actors and changemakers from different regions of Nigeria and Africa. COYEC’24 is anticipated to, among other things, inspire Africans to participate in environmental and climate actions in their respective communities, foster collaboration and partnerships among organizations, and contribute to the development of new ideas and solutions for environmental and climate issues specific to Africa.

The event is scheduled to take place between 4th and 6th June 2024 in Lagos State, Nigeria. The conference intends to provide hands-on training and ample opportunities for participants to learn from industry experts on a range of environmental issues, including climate change, biodiversity loss, renewable energy, and sustainable development.

The ultimate goal of COYEC is to provide Africans with the necessary knowledge and capacity to take action towards solving climate and environmental challenges. The conference seeks to provide a common platform for young people to engage in discussions and take action towards addressing climate change.

The conference is a hybrid event, with a mix of Keynote lectures, Plenary and Parallel Sessions, Technical Presentations, Panel Sessions, Roundtables Session, Climate Innovation Hackathon, Exhibitions, and among others.

 Deadline: 4th May 2024 (10:00 PM GMT +1)
