Share

Governor Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State has disbursed ₦300 million in grants to 100 beneficiaries under the State Government’s Agricultural Empowerment Programme. These beneficiaries, who received extensive training at the Masters Skills Training Centre in Agbani, Enugu State, were deemed qualified to receive the grants.

Speaking at the launch event, Governor Nwifuru, represented by his Deputy, Princess Patricia Onyemaechi Obila, urged the recipients to use the funds effectively to enhance agricultural productivity. “This initiative is part of our commitment to empower our people and strengthen agriculture in Ebonyi,” she said.

Comrade Joseph Ugochuckwu, Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, announced that over 200 additional individuals, including 171 Ward Councillors, would soon be enrolled in a new training program in Nasarawa State, further expanding the empowerment initiative.

The Commissioner for Human Capital Development and Monitoring, Mrs. Ann Aligwe, expressed her gratitude to the Governor for his focus on improving the livelihoods of Ebonyi residents. She emphasized that her office would monitor the beneficiaries’ farm activities to ensure effective use of the funds.

On behalf of the beneficiaries, Mr. Adagba Fabian Nwofoke thanked Governor Nwifuru for the generous support, pledging that they would invest the funds wisely to transform their agricultural ventures.
