Hydrogen Payment Services Company Limited has partnered with the Lagos State Ministry of Education, Education District II, to donate a 5KVA solar-powered inverter system to Ikosi Senior High School, Ketu. The initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainability and digital education.
Hydrogen Payment, the payment subsidiary of Access Corporation, aims to empower communities through technology. “Sustainability is about more than just environmental responsibility; it’s about investing in people, communities, and the future we are building together,” said Fiyinfoluwa Olorunsola, Hydrogen’s Head of Cards & Switch.
The solar-powered inverter system provides a clean energy source, ensuring continuous access to power while reducing reliance on non-renewable energy. In addition, Hydrogen has renovated the school’s water outlet area, improving hygiene and aesthetics, and donated textbooks to the school library.
Beyond infrastructure, the company is equipping students with essential digital skills through expert-led training sessions. Students were introduced to career paths in cybersecurity, data analytics, software development, payment technology, product management, sales, customer experience, digital marketing, and project management.
By merging sustainability with digital education, Hydrogen is ensuring students have reliable infrastructure, academic resources, and the skills to thrive in Africa’s growing digital economy.
