The Northern Agribusiness Development Initiative (NADI) has commenced the recruitment of Enumerators to support its expanding agricultural interventions across Northern Nigeria. This move is part of the organization’s broader mission to transform the region’s food systems and improve rural livelihoods through innovation, data-driven planning, and grassroots empowerment.
Established in 2023, NADI has been working to modernize Northern Nigeria’s agricultural landscape, fostering partnerships and deploying strategic programs aimed at boosting productivity. The recruitment of Enumerators marks a key step in strengthening data collection and community engagement efforts critical to the initiative’s ongoing success.
According to the management of NADI, the new recruits will play an essential role in gathering agricultural data, mobilizing rural communities, and identifying farmers and cooperative groups across participating states. They will also conduct structured interviews and utilize digital tools such as ODK and KoboToolbox to ensure the accuracy of the information collected.
“Enumerators will be at the heart of our mission to scale agribusiness and food security in the North,” the organization stated. “Through their work, we aim to bridge information gaps, promote sustainable practices, and bring more farmers into productive agricultural networks.”
Beyond data gathering, Enumerators are expected to serve as frontline advocates for agribusiness within their communities, helping to raise awareness and generate support for NADI’s programs. The initiative emphasized that the opportunity offers much more than employment.
“Successful applicants will benefit from hands-on training in digital data collection, gain practical experience in fieldwork, and connect with experts, NGOs, and partner institutions,” NADI noted. “It’s more than a job – it’s a platform to drive meaningful change in agriculture.”
Applicants must be at least 25 years old, fluent in local languages, and capable of using mobile applications and internet-based tools. A background in data collection or community outreach is considered advantageous. Candidates must also own a compatible smartphone or tablet and be willing to travel within their local government area.
Application requires completion of an online form, followed by an email submission including full name, phone number, state, and LGA of residence. State-specific email addresses have been designated for this purpose. For instance, applicants in Kano are required to send their details to:
Other participating states include Bauchi, Yobe, Borno, Jigawa, Katsina, Kaduna, Sokoto, Zamfara, Gombe, and Adamawa.
NADI cautioned that incomplete applications or submission of incorrect information could result in disqualification.
