Nigeria Launches Phase 2 of Creative Economy Development Fund with $100,000 Funding Opportunities
Share

The Creative Economy Development Fund (CEDF) has unveiled Phase 2 of its programme, featuring a redesigned and user-friendly interface to improve access to opportunities and support for Nigeria’s creative and cultural entrepreneurs.

Backed by the Federal Ministry of Art, Culture, and the Creative Economy, the fund is designed to empower the country’s fast-growing creative sector by providing financial and developmental resources to individuals and businesses shaping the industry’s future.

The new phase aims to create a more seamless process for creatives nationwide to connect with funding, mentorship, and platforms that can elevate their craft. Whether emerging innovators or established creators, participants will be able to leverage the fund as a reliable avenue for growth, collaboration, and international exposure.

Phase 2 places priority on proposals from businesses seeking funding of up to $100,000, with a focus on driving creativity, innovation, and sustainable growth within Nigeria’s economy.

Applications are open to creative and cultural entrepreneurs working in a wide range of industries, including video gaming, film and music, animation and fashion, publishing and visual arts, culinary arts, and tourism and heritage projects. This broad scope is intended to ensure that talents across the creative ecosystem can benefit and showcase their work both locally and globally.

Interested applicants can submit their proposals by visiting the officially portal : [https://www.cedf.gov.ng]

Through this initiative, the Nigerian government has reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the creative economy, with the goal of creating jobs, fostering innovation, and projecting the nation’s cultural identity on the world stage.
