Call for Applications: Kwara State Government Scholarship and Bursary Award 2025

The scholarship and bursary scheme is a strategic intervention by the Kwara State Government to reduce financial strain on students, particularly amidst the rising cost of education.

  • His Excellency, Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq, has approved the payment of:
  • The 2024/2025 bursary award
  • The 2023/2024 scholarship award
  • This initiative targets final-year Kwara State indigenes in both state and federal government-owned tertiary institutions across Nigeria.
  • Students are encouraged to take advantage of this golden opportunity to secure financial support and complete their academic journey with ease.
Eligibility Requirements

To be considered for the bursary or scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be an indigene of Kwara State.
  • Be enrolled in a government-approved tertiary institution (state or federal owned).
  • Be a final-year student at the time of application.

Scholarship Duration & Rewards

  • Scholarship Award: ₦100,000 (one-time support).
  • Bursary Award: ₦10,000 (one-time allowance).
  • Successful applicants will receive their allowances 100% upon approval.

Required Documents

Applicants must scan and upload the following documents during the application process:

  • Passport photograph
  • Local Government Citizenship Certificate
  • Final-year course registration form (duly stamped)
  • Institutional valid student ID card
  • Evidence of NAKLAS/NAKSS due payment
  • KWASRRA Number & NAKLAS/NAKSS Receipt (Valid Kwara State Residents Registration Agency certificate required)
  • NIN Slip (National Identification Number)

How to Apply

Interested and eligible applicants should follow these steps:

Account Login:

  • Visit the official application portal.
  • Log in using your KWASRRA SSID and NIN.
  • Note: You cannot log in without a valid KWASRRA registration.

Fill in Bio-Data:

  • Provide personal details such as full name, date of birth, gender, and contact information.

Enter Academic Details:

  • Supply your institution’s name, course of study, year of admission, and current level.

Upload Documents:

  • Upload all required documents (Passport photo, LGA certificate, course form, ID card, NAKLAS/NAKSS receipt, etc.).
  • Ensure documents are uploaded in the correct formats (PDF, JPEG, or PNG).

Review Application:

  • Carefully cross-check all details for accuracy.

Submit Application:

  • Click Submit Application to finalize.
  • Download and keep a copy of your submitted form for reference.
  • Tip: Apply early to avoid last-minute rush before the September 18, 2025 deadline.
