The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has introduced an artificial intelligence-powered business registration portal designed to simplify and accelerate the process for prospective applicants.
The innovation was unveiled by Michael Nwabufo, popularly known as Mike Premium, who serves as the CAC Ambassador and President of the Practitioners of Content Creating, Skit Making, and Influencers Guild of Nigeria (PCCSIGN). Speaking in Lagos on Saturday, Nwabufo described the platform as a major milestone in advancing Nigeria’s ease of doing business.
He explained that his team worked tirelessly in collaboration with the commission to actualise the project, with the aim of helping small businesses register without stress or unnecessary complications. Commending President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, he said the initiative reflects government’s commitment to empowering entrepreneurs and strengthening the Nigerian economy.
With the new AI-driven system, Nigerians can now register their businesses and obtain official documentation in as little as 10 minutes. The platform eliminates the need for middlemen or agents, ensuring a direct and transparent process for applicants.
The development, according to Nwabufo, is the first of its kind in Africa and possibly the world, positioning Nigeria as a leader in digital innovation within public service delivery. He also praised the Registrar-General of CAC, Ishaq Magaji, and the entire CAC team for their contribution to the project.
“This milestone demonstrates CAC’s commitment to helping Nigerians formalise their businesses seamlessly. It will reduce barriers for startups, SMEs, and aspiring entrepreneurs nationwide,” he noted.
The AI-powered registration portal is now active and accessible to the public, marking the beginning of what Nwabufo described as a new era in Nigeria’s digital business services.
