The MEXC Foundation has reaffirmed its mission to redefine how blockchain can empower communities worldwide, bridging knowledge gaps and promoting education, inclusion and innovation in the Web3 space.
In a statement on Monday, the foundation launched in 2025 by global crypto exchange MEXC revealed that it has already committed $30 million to initiatives designed to merge technology with real-world impact. Its programmes are focused on expanding access to Web3 opportunities while ensuring that young people, women and marginalised groups are not left behind in the rapidly evolving digital economy.
The foundation’s interventions range from university scholarships and youth hackathons to disaster relief and sustainable blockchain projects. Its goal is to build infrastructure that enables meaningful participation in the digital future.
Chief Operating Officer of MEXC, Tracy Jin, stressed that blockchain’s success goes beyond technology. “The future of blockchain doesn’t rest on code alone. For blockchain and the broader crypto industry to truly leap forward, we need more than technology. We need education, empowerment, and strong communities that can translate innovation into real-world adoption,” Jin said.
According to her, the foundation’s vision is to build an open, sustainable Web3 ecosystem where opportunities and knowledge are universally accessible. This mission is anchored on three pillars; education, inclusion and sustainability which serve as the blueprint for reshaping blockchain’s global impact.
On the education front, the MEXC Foundation is partnering with leading universities to launch blockchain learning hubs and certification programmes across Africa and South Asia. In India, a collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology through the Akiverse Campus Programme has already introduced hands-on blockchain learning to students.
Inclusion efforts target underrepresented groups, particularly women and youth, through support for Women in Web3 programmes, student ambassador networks and mentorship opportunities. Jin noted that these initiatives are not just empowering individuals but also nurturing the next generation of Web3 builders.
The foundation is also backing sustainability and humanitarian projects, from environmental grants to disaster relief efforts, as part of its strategy to make blockchain relevant in everyday life.
Looking ahead, the foundation is set to roll out its IgniteX programme, which will expand scholarships, provide internships and launch global career networks designed to prioritise impact over profit.
“Our aim is to prove that blockchain can drive real social good and ensure no one is left behind in the Web3 revolution,” Jin said.
