A non-governmental organisation, Iykon Global Foundation, in partnership with the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS), has officially launched a web-based test engine and online learning platform aimed at empowering Nigerian students to excel academically and bridge persistent learning gaps.
The platform, unveiled yesterday in Asaba, Delta State, is designed to support both secondary and undergraduate students in preparing for key national examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and JAMB, while also offering resources for job seekers. It seeks to address Nigeria’s rising rates of mass failure in public examinations by making quality learning tools more accessible.
Executive Director of Iykon Global Foundation, Ambassador Ephraim Ikechukwu Nwonu, said the initiative was created to help students study smarter, improve exam preparedness, and give them a better chance at academic success.
“The whole essence of this initiative is to assist Nigerian students to be able to pass their examinations, including job seekers, to be well informed ahead,” Nwonu said.
He described the platform as a timely intervention that uses technology to give students an advantage, noting that graduates and job seekers could also benefit through self-paced learning and test simulations.
Also speaking at the unveiling, NANS President, Comrade Olushola Oladoja, described the platform as a “tool for empowerment and a bridge to excellence”, noting that it directly addresses the educational challenges faced by Nigerian students.
“For years, students have been limited by poor access to learning resources and practical platforms. This initiative strategically responds to the educational demands of the 21st century,” he said.
The platform is expected to serve as a digital empowerment tool, helping learners close the gap between classroom knowledge and exam performance, while also fostering a culture of continuous learning among young Nigerians. Stakeholders believe the initiative could play a crucial role in improving national examination outcomes and building a more competitive workforce.
