Liberty Career Academy (LCA) Scholarship Program 2025 (Up to ₦200,000 + Mentorship + Academic +Vocational Support)

The Liberty Career Academy (LCA) is now accepting applications for the 2025 Scholarship Program — a powerful initiative created to empower young Africans facing financial challenges but determined to pursue excellence in education, leadership, and vocational skill development.

This annual scholarship is more than financial aid. It is a platform designed to nurture changemakers, support academic dreams, and equip future leaders with mentorship, community, and resources to build meaningful careers.

Who is this for?

  • A determined undergraduate in Nigeria
  • Facing financial constraints, orphaned, or from a single-parent family
  • A top academic performer, leader, or changemaker
  • A skilled vocational trainee with a passion for craft
Scholarship Categories & Target Applicants
  1. Adeola Okungbaye Memorial Award (Financial Need & Orphan Support)

Created in honor of Adeola Okungbaye, this award supports vulnerable students who refuse to let hardship end their dreams.

  • For orphans or youth from single-parent households
  • Must show financial need
  • Academic performance: Min. 3.5/5.0 CGPA or 220+ JAMB

2. Merit-Based Award (Academic Excellence & Leadership)

Designed for outstanding students who excel academically and demonstrate leadership potential.

  • For university/polytechnic students
  • Academic excellence: Min. 3.7/5.0 CGPA or 240+ JAMB
  • Active involvement in school or community initiatives
3.  Gifted Hands Award (Vocational & Technical Talent)

For creatives, artisans, and skilled youths building careers through hands-on professions.

  • Age 18–25 years
  • Enrolled in a technical or vocational program
  • Must be currently unemployed
  • Funding may cover tools, training kits, or equipment (e.g., sewing machine, baking tools, mechanic kits)

Benefits

  • ₦200,000 Financial Support for fees or training expenses
  • Mentorship & Career Coaching from professionals
  • Networking Opportunities through the LCA community
  • Access to Alumni Support and leadership programs
  • Vocational Empowerment through training tools or equipment

General Eligibility Criteria

All applicants must:

  • Be African citizens residing or studying in Nigeria
  • Be in 1st–3rd year of a 4-year program or 1st–4th year of a 5-year program
  • Present WASSCE, JAMB and/or CGPA documents
  • Hold a valid government-issued ID (or parent/guardian’s ID)
  • Submit a 500-word personal statement (AI-generated content leads to disqualification)
  • Provide verifiable details — dishonesty leads to disqualification

Selection Process

Successful candidates will be chosen based on:

  • Academic or skill potential
  • Financial need or leadership drive
  • Authenticity, clarity, and passion in their personal statement

Shortlisted applicants may be invited for interviews or document verification.
