People Powered Funding & Mentorship for Participatory Programs (up to US$25,000 Grant )
Share

People Powered is offering a global opportunity for civil society organisations, governments, and program leaders to strengthen public participation, climate action, and youth engagement. This initiative gives you funding, mentorship, and tools to turn participatory ideas into programs that make a real difference in your community.

What You’ll Receive (Program Benefits)

  • Climate Democracy Accelerator (CDA): Implementation grants up to US$10,000, with additional awards (US$15,000) for top action plans.
  • Democratic Innovations Accelerator (DIA): Expert mentorship, peer learning, and capacity building for youth participation programs.
  • Rising Stars Mentorship: Personalized mentoring support over several months to refine your participatory democracy program.

Who Is Eligible

Eligible applicants typically include:

  • Civil society organisations, government bodies, or public officials seeking to design, implement or improve participatory programs.
  • Programs or ideas focused on climate action, youth participation, inclusive governance, or democratic innovation.
  • Those able to meet mentorship and program requirements, including action planning, reporting, and collaboration.

 Deadline & Application Details

  • Application Closes: November 30, 2025 at 11:59 pm UTC
  • How to Apply: Fill out the online application form via People Powered’s website. Submit required documents including your project idea, action plan or challenge description, any existing proof of concept, and details of your organisation and team.

Tips for a Strong Application

  1. Clarify the participatory challenge you’re addressing (e.g. climate budgeting, youth engagement, participatory policy).
  2. Show clear impact potential: who your program serves, how many people, how it improves decision-making or climate action.
  3. Demonstrate readiness: existing partnerships, or evidence of past participation or collaboration in public or community-based programs.
  4. Be precise about how funding and mentorship will be used — timelines, deliverables, milestones.
  5. Emphasize inclusivity: how your program involves marginalized groups (youth, women, displaced people, etc.).

 How to Apply

  • Visit the People Powered site: “Unlock Funding & Mentorship for Your Participatory Program” page. (People Powered)
  • Choose the program stream that matches your project (CDA, DIA, Rising Stars).
  • Complete the application form before November 30, 2025, 11:59 pm UTC.
