Why It Matters
Women-led startups continue to receive a small share of venture capital — only ~2.3% of global VC funding goes to female-founded tech companies. (Aurora Tech Award)
The Aurora Tech Award seeks to correct this imbalance by giving women founders access to not just funding, but networks, mentorship, and visibility to scale globally.
Tips for a Strong Application
- Clearly explain your problem-solution fit and why your tech matters in your target market.
- Highlight your team composition and why your founder(s) are well suited to lead this venture.
- Provide evidence of early traction or prototype development.
- Show scalability potential and readiness for growth, plus how funding will accelerate your next milestone.
- Use the educational material offered by Aurora to refine your application: they provide guides on pitch deck, measuring impact, and fundraising. (Aurora Tech Award)
