The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) and the Millennium Campus Network (MCN) are now inviting applications for the 2026 Millennium Fellowship , a semester-long leadership development program that brings together undergraduate students from around the world to advance the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and make lasting social impact on their campuses and communities.
The Fellowship provides a platform for passionate young people to strengthen their leadership skills, collaborate with peers, and turn their social impact ideas into tangible projects that create positive change. It is a unique opportunity to learn, lead, and join a global network of over 50,000 students who are shaping a more sustainable and equitable world.
Eligibility
To be eligible, applicants must:
- Be at least 18 years old.
- Be enrolled as undergraduate students in a recognized university and remain in good standing for the entire program period.
- Commit to meeting physically on campus for at least eight sessions between August and December 2026.
- Demonstrate a passion for social impact, sustainability, and community development.
Graduate students (Master’s or PhD) are not eligible. Absence from the mandatory meetings may result in expulsion from the program.
Why It Matters
In a world facing economic, social, and environmental challenges, the Millennium Fellowship empowers young leaders to drive the change they wish to see. The program gives students a chance to learn from others, challenge conventional ideas, and take bold action toward building sustainable communities.
From leading campus-wide sustainability campaigns to tackling social problems such as unemployment, inequality, and climate change, the Fellowship inspires participants to think globally and act locally.
For young Africans and student entrepreneurs, the program offers an opportunity to connect global vision with local innovation — bridging education, leadership, and community service. It equips participants with the knowledge, network, and confidence to lead initiatives that can grow into long-term projects or enterprises supporting the SDGs.
