Jigawa State recently hosted the Northwest Renewed Hope Youth Pally, a regional gathering that brought together young entrepreneurs and aspiring business owners to share ideas, explore opportunities, and build skills essential for MSME development and innovation.
The initiative aligns with the state’s 12-Point Agenda for a Greater Jigawa, which complements President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda by placing youth-led enterprise development at its core. Through the Youth Empowerment Agency, more than 355,000 young people have been trained in market-relevant skills over the past two and a half years, strengthening small business creation and employment across the state.
The event attracted national leaders, including the Ministers of Information, Youth Development, and State for Education, whose participation underscored the government’s commitment to supporting young entrepreneurs and strengthening Nigeria’s MSME ecosystem.
The Pally encouraged participants to leverage existing programmes and partnerships to launch or expand their ventures, fostering innovation and collaboration across the Northwest. Organisers emphasized that empowering young entrepreneurs remains central to building a resilient local economy and advancing the nation’s broader goals for MSME growth and sustainable development.
