FCMB Reaffirms Commitment to Women Entrepreneurs, Hosts 2025 SheVentures Networking Summit
Share

First City Monument Bank (FCMB), through its flagship women-in-business initiative, SheVentures, has restated its commitment to advancing female-led enterprises with the successful hosting of the 2025 SheVentures Networking Summit in Lagos.

The gathering, themed “Engage, Empower & Unwind 2.0: The Power of Balance,” brought together hundreds of female entrepreneurs, business leaders, and industry professionals. According to the bank, the summit was designed to help women pursue ambitious business goals while maintaining the personal and professional balance required for long-term success.

The event featured interactive fireside conversations and high-energy networking sessions, creating a vibrant space for learning, collaboration, and shared experiences. A major highlight was a fireside chat with top female leaders, including Princess Adeyinka Tekenah, CEO of Happy Coffee Nigeria; Dr Ella Ezeadilieje, a growth and personal development strategist; and Teni Stuffman, CEO of Lebara Nigeria. They spoke extensively on business growth, resilience, purpose, and the realities of building successful enterprises in today’s fast-paced business environment.

FCMB’s Executive Director of Corporate Services and Service Management, Felicia Obozuwa, reaffirmed the bank’s long-standing commitment to gender inclusion and SME development through SheVentures.

“At FCMB, we believe that empowering women is not just a social imperative — it is an economic strategy,” she said. “Through SheVentures, we are building an ecosystem where women can run and scale businesses sustainably while finding the balance that fuels long-term success.”

Since its launch, SheVentures has supported thousands of women across Nigeria with zero-interest loans, capacity-building programmes, and access to mentorship and expert advisory services.

The 2025 Networking Summit further positions FCMB as one of the country’s strongest champions of female entrepreneurship, deepening its support for women-led SMEs and strengthening economic inclusion across Nigeria’s business landscape.
