Shell Nigeria is inviting Nigerian undergraduate students to apply for its Student Industrial Training and Internship Program (SIWES) a professional attachment that provides hands-on industry experience, workplace skills development, and mentorship in real business environments. This opportunity is ideal for students who want to bridge academic learning with practical experience in one of the world’s leading energy companies.

Who Can Apply (Eligibility)

To be eligible for the Shell Nigeria SIWES Internship Programme, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Be a Nigerian citizen.
  • Be enrolled full-time in an undergraduate degree or HND programme at a university or polytechnic in Nigeria.
  • Have school authorisation and approval for industrial training (an official industrial training form or letter).
  • Maintain a strong academic standing, typically a CGPA of 3.5 or above (or the local equivalent).
  • Be in a relevant field such as Engineering, Geosciences, Information Technology, Sciences (Pure/Environmental), Social Sciences/Arts, or Commercial disciplines.

This programme is designed to support active students who are ready to take the next step in professional development.

Application Details & How to Apply

Step-by-Step

  1. Prepare Your Documents
    Get your industrial training form/letter from your university or polytechnic signed and ready. You’ll need personal, academic, and contact details.
  2. Write an Application Email
    Use your personal email address and send your application to the official internship recruitment address:
    SPDC-2025SiwesRecruitment@shell.com.
  3. Use the Correct Email Format
    Set your subject line as:
    “2025 Shell Nigeria SIWES Application [Your Course of Study]”.
  4. Include Required Information
    Your email should include:

    • Full name
    • Name of your university or polytechnic
    • Matriculation/Student ID number
    • Course of study
    • Duration (number of months) required for your internship
    • Contact information (residence, email, phone number)
    • Scanned copy of your official IT form or industrial training approval letter
    • Current CGPA or GPA
  5. Submit Early
    Applications are typically processed on a rolling basis depending on business needs and available slots. Slots may be limited each year.
