Call for Applications: National Youth Agribusiness Strategy (NYAS) Domestication Dialogue
Share

Young people are often described as the future of agribusiness, but in Nigeria today, young innovators and women are already shaping the present. To strengthen this momentum and deepen youth participation in agriculture, the Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security, in strategic partnership with AGRA, is convening the National Youth Agribusiness Strategy Domestication Dialogue.

This high-level dialogue is designed as a practical engagement platform where young agripreneurs can interact directly with policymakers, financial institutions, climate experts, and development partners. The focus is on building climate-resilient and finance-enabled pathways for youth and women within Nigeria’s agrifood systems, while ensuring that national agricultural strategies translate into real, workable solutions at the grassroots.

The initiative reflects the Federal Government and AGRA’s shared commitment to removing structural and financial barriers that limit youth participation in agriculture. Selected participants will enjoy an all-expenses-paid experience, with travel, accommodation, and feeding fully covered. A group of outstanding agripreneurs will also receive free exhibition booths, giving them the opportunity to showcase their products, innovations, and services to investors, policymakers, and key industry stakeholders.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Applicants must be Nigerian citizens.
  • Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years old.
  • Women involved in agribusiness are strongly encouraged to apply.
  • Applicants must be actively engaged in the agricultural value chain, including production, processing, ag-tech, logistics, or agricultural research.
  • Applicants must demonstrate commitment to building sustainable and climate-resilient agribusinesses.
  • Applicants must be willing and able to participate fully in the two-day dialogue in Abuja.
  • Applicants must be interested in contributing to policy discussions around youth agribusiness strategy domestication in Nigeria.
