Call for Applications: Free Practical Poultry Training Programme For Farmers

The Federal College of Animal Health and Production Technology, Moor Plantation, Ibadan, in collaboration with the World Bank and the IDEAS T-VET Initiative, is inviting applications for a Free Practical Poultry Training Programme targeted at young people in Oyo State.

This programme is designed to equip participants with modern, hands-on skills in poultry production, preparing them for employment, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance within the livestock and agribusiness sector.

Programme Overview

The training focuses on practical poultry production techniques, combining classroom learning with intensive hands-on experience. Participants will gain skills relevant to today’s poultry industry and be supported to transition into income-generating opportunities.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Young men and women aged 15–35 years
    Must be residents of Ibadan and its environs
    Willingness to commit fully to the 6-month training duration
  • Programme Benefits
    Selected participants will benefit from:
    Monthly stipend throughout the training period
    Hands-on practical training in poultry production
    Starter pack provided at the end of the programme
    Skills that support employment, entrepreneurship, and self-reliance
