Abuja International Trade Fair 2025 to Attract Over 100,000 Stakeholders from 40 Countries

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) has announced that more than 100,000 stakeholders from at least 40 countries will participate in the 20th Abuja International Trade Fair (AITF), scheduled to hold from September 25 to October 6, 2025, at the Abuja Trade and Convention Centre.

This year’s edition, themed “Sustainability, Consumption, Incentives and Taxation,” will place a strong spotlight on Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) as critical drivers of industrial growth and job creation in Nigeria and across Africa.

Exhibitions at the fair will cover diverse sectors including trade, agriculture, technology, energy, fintech, and the creative industries. Organisers say the fair’s new initiative, “Buy Africa, Build Africa,” will promote intra-African trade and enhance the global visibility of African-made products.

With participants projected to spend an average of ₦10,000 each, the fair is expected to generate approximately ₦10 billion in economic activity within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

Key stakeholders including the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), FCT-IRS, and the National Council on Climate Change will take part in panel discussions, focusing on policy, taxation, sustainability, and enterprise development.

The event will also host BABA FEST, a cultural and economic showcase featuring music, fashion, art, digital innovation, and investment dialogues, blending business with entertainment to create a holistic trade fair experience.

The ACCI assured exhibitors and visitors that adequate logistics, security, and traffic management have been put in place for the smooth hosting of the 12-day event.

The Abuja International Trade Fair has, over two decades, evolved into one of Africa’s premier platforms for networking, investment, and cross-border business collaborations. This milestone 20th edition is expected to further solidify Abuja’s standing as a hub for trade and enterprise in Africa.
