The Anambra State Government has introduced several initiatives aimed at boosting local businesses, improving infrastructure, and enhancing public services. These decisions were announced after the 35th State Executive Council (ANSEC) meeting.

Tax Exemptions for Small Businesses
Tax exemptions have been approved for groups with business capitals below ₦100,000, a move to support micro-businesses and ease financial burdens on small-scale entrepreneurs.
Decentralized Sanitation Management
More powers have been devolved to local governments in the state for managing sanitation, enhancing grassroots involvement in environmental cleanliness.
Encouragement for Public-Private Partnerships
The state reiterated its preference for leasing and concession agreements over direct management of public enterprises, inviting investors to partner with the government to improve efficiency.
Infrastructure Development Projects
Rehabilitation of Injection Substation
The vandalized substation at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University, Igbariam Campus, will be rehabilitated at ₦228.1 million by Kolc Ventures.
Internet Access for State House of Assembly
Pine Heights Global Resources Ltd will provide free internet access to the Anambra State House of Assembly Complex, Awka, at a cost of ₦81.8 million, to be installed within two weeks.
Construction of Open Stalls in Isuofia
151 open stalls will be constructed at Afuzo Market, Isuofia, to support local commerce, with the project awarded to Crystal Dove Construction Company for ₦279 million.
Road Marking at Amawbia Flyover
Allpee International Ltd will handle the road marking of the Amawbia flyover motorway for ₦118.7 million, with completion expected in six weeks.
Health Sector Investments
New medical and non-medical hospital equipment will be supplied to:
- Specialist Hospital, Fegge.
- General Hospital, Anaku, Onitsha South, and Ayamelum LGAs.
- Contract awarded to Chrislaug Ltd.

A prayer was observed for the late Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, whose passing was described as a major loss for the state.
The anti-touting law remains in force, with touts encouraged to join empowerment schemes for legitimate livelihoods.
