APC Youth Wing Launches Enterprise-Skills Development Training (EDET) Program

The All Progressives Congress (APC), through its Youth Wing, is set to launch the inaugural Enterprise-Skills Development Training (EDET) Programme. This initiative aims to empower young Nigerians and promote social justice by fostering a culture of entrepreneurship and innovation.

 

Key Details of the EDET Program

  1. 1. Duration and Format: 

   – The program will run for five days and include a mix of intensive training sessions, pitch competitions, and networking opportunities.

 

  1. Notable Speakers:

   – The program will feature prominent figures such as Governor Babajide Sanwoolu and Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, among others.

 

  1. 3. Target Audience:

   – The EDET Programme will train over 1,000 young entrepreneurs, providing them with the skills and knowledge needed to start, scale, and innovate businesses across various industries.

 

  1. Program Highlights:

   – Pitch Competition: Participants will have the chance to compete for a $5,000 seed funding prize.

   – Fireside Chats: These sessions will feature successful entrepreneurs sharing their experiences and insights.

   – Comprehensive Toolkit: The program will offer resources that go beyond the initial business idea, helping participants with the implementation and growth of their ventures.

   – Mentorship and Networking: Attendees will connect with leading mentors, funding sources, and various resources essential for business success.

 

Objectives and Impact

– Economic Growth: By equipping young Nigerians with entrepreneurial skills, the APC aims to drive economic growth and job creation.

– Innovation: The program will foster a culture of innovation, encouraging young entrepreneurs to tackle challenges in various sectors including technology, agriculture, and the creative industries.

– Inclusivity: The EDET Programme is open to all Nigerian youth, regardless of political affiliation or location, with free registration to ensure wide accessibility.

Dr. Dayo Israel, APC National Youth Leader, emphasized the program’s transformative potential:

   – “The EDET Programme will equip young entrepreneurs with the tools and expertise needed to start, scale, and innovate businesses. This initiative is crucial for fostering a vibrant ecosystem of young entrepreneurs who will drive economic growth and contribute to national development.”

Through the EDET Programme, the APC aims to empower the next generation of Nigerian entrepreneurs, addressing the challenges they face and providing them with the necessary support to realize their business potential.
