Appmint Empowers African MSMEs with All-in-One Digital Transformation Platform
Share

Durubata Limited, a leading software solutions provider, has launched Appmint, an innovative digital platform designed to enhance business operations and drive digital transformation for MSMEs across Africa.

A recent report by Africa Practice indicates that 46% of African businesses face revenue drops due to inflation and economic challenges. Appmint addresses this issue by offering a no-code, AI-powered platform tailored to help African startups and small businesses streamline their operations and grow. At the Lagos launch event, Durubata’s CEO, Jacob Ajiboye, emphasized the app’s mission: “Our platform brings scalability, innovation, and efficiency typical of tech ecosystems in developed nations but at a cost accessible to local businesses.”

Appmint is an all-in-one platform that enables users to build websites, automate tasks, manage customer relationships, and generate data-driven insights—all without technical expertise. Setting itself apart, Appmint integrates various features, such as e-commerce, marketing automation, and CRM tools, into a single system, addressing the high costs and complexity that local startups often face. Ajiboye explained, “We are committed to driving growth and innovation, enabling business owners to build without boundaries.”

Durubata’s marketing director, Seun Tayo-Balogun, highlighted the platform’s accessible drag-and-drop builder, business automation capabilities, and scalability, affirming Appmint as a “local solution with global impact.” She noted, “Our platform makes it easier for entrepreneurs to thrive, freeing them to focus on business growth and audience engagement.” Tayo-Balogun also addressed the challenge of fragmented tools, stating, “Today’s entrepreneurs struggle with costly, disjointed platforms requiring multiple subscriptions. Appmint consolidates everything in one place—web design, e-commerce, CRM, marketing automation, and more.”

With Appmint, non-technical users can create responsive websites and apps through a simple drag-and-drop interface. Recognizing local needs, Appmint integrates with African financial systems, reducing technical and geographical barriers. Additionally, the platform centralizes social media management, enabling businesses to control multiple platforms from a single dashboard. This feature allows users to schedule posts, track engagement, and run automated campaigns, which saves time and enhances digital efficiency.

Appmint also offers advanced customer engagement tools, including email marketing, live chat, and AI-driven chatbots that support real-time customer interactions, helping businesses build stronger customer loyalty. Tayo-Balogun highlighted, “In one place, you can now manage all your social media platforms seamlessly. This functionality is essential for businesses looking to maximize their digital presence.”

Aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), Appmint commits to empowering African youth by offering free training programs in essential tech skills, aiming to foster a generation of innovators who can contribute to Africa’s growing tech industry. This initiative not only supports sustainable growth for African MSMEs but also drives job creation and economic development across the continent.
