Ashoka Social Intrapreneurship for Innovation in Health Course – 22nd Edition (free six-week online training)
Share

This online course equips health professionals (from public, private, and non-profit sectors) with the skills to lead innovation from inside their organisations. If you’re working in health delivery, health policy, animal health, or wellness, this could help you push forward new ideas, navigate institutional barriers, and collaborate across sectors. Offered by Ashoka and Boehringer Ingelheim under their Making More Health initiative, it is fully online and provides access to a global network.

What You’ll Gain (Benefits)

  • A free six-week facilitated online training (interactive format).
  • New skills in intrapreneurship, co-creation, and design of innovation within laboratory or institutional settings.
  • Ability to frame challenges in health more compellingly (patient needs, market research, institutional constraints).
  • Strategy development for navigating bureaucracy and partnering across sectors.
  • Exposure to a global community of health innovators, Ashoka Fellows, and international changemakers.

Who Should Apply (Eligibility)

  • Professionals working in health, wellness, animal health, or related fields in public, private, or non-profit organisations.
  • Applicants with a desire to lead innovation within their institution (not necessarily startup founders).
  • Willingness to commit at least 2 hours per week over the six weeks.
  • Open globally (not limited by geography).

Duration & Deadlines

Item Date / Details
Course period October 20, 2025 to November 28, 2025
Application deadline October 13, 2025
Weekly commitment

Tips for a Strong Application

  • Be clear about your current role and organisation: Intrapreneurship works best when reviewers believe you can act within your current context.
  • Prepare an innovation idea (or problem) that you want to work on: Describe real institutional barriers or gaps (e.g. policy, partnerships, incentive, funding) that your idea will address.
  • Show prior involvement or impact: Even small initiatives, improvement projects, or pilot work make your application stronger.
  • Emphasize collaborative mindset: How you plan to collaborate with others (within your organisation, community, or cross-sector) will matter.
  • Be realistic about your availability: If you can demonstrate you’ll carve out the time, that helps.
  • Use concrete examples: For example, patient outcomes, cost savings, process improvement or efficiency, behavior change—whatever is measurable.

How to Apply

  1. Visit the Ashoka page for the “Social Intrapreneurship for Innovation in Health Course.” (ashoka.org)
  2. Complete the online application form before October 13, 2025.
  3. Provide details about yourself (role, institution), the change you want to initiate, and how you’ll manage time and execution.
  4. Submit and await the selection confirmation.
